3 Day Refresh Results

I did the 3 Day Refresh September 12-14, 2014.  I had heard so many people getting great results, losing on average 3-5 lbs and having less cravings.  I figured I had never done a cleanse before so it would probably be good for me and I could use less cravings!  

All of the food was pretty tasty.  Maybe because I didn't get a lot of it, only 900 calories per day.  I wasn't hungry, but I did feel weak and didn't have a lot of energy, especially by day three.  I just craved eggs and it was good to not be able to eat little things like bites of my kids' mac & cheese.  It was a bad habit I had gotten into. 

I had fun getting creative with my meals:

Here's my meals for Day 1:
  • Breakfast - chocolate vegan Shakeology with berries and water
  • Lunch - Vanilla Fresh protein shake w/ cinnamon & lots of ice (actually pretty good), 1/2 apple with almond butter, green beans w/ Himalayan salt & herbs
  • Dinner - Vanilla Fresh protein shake with Coconut Steamed veggies - recipe comes in booklet




Meals for Day 2: 
  • Breakfast: Tropical Strawberry Shakeology w/ basil, water, and ice, 1/2 grapefruit with stevia and cinnamon
  • Lunch: Vanilla Fresh protein shake with pumpkin spice and vanilla extract, strawberries, and grape tomato, cucumber, and avocado salad with apple cider vinegar, basil, and Himalayan salt.
  • Dinner: Vanilla Fresh protein shake with pumpkin pie spice and lemon green beans (in the recipe booklet)



Meals for Day 3: 

  • Breakfast: Tropical Strawberry Shakeology w/ basil, water, and ice, 1/2 grapefruit with stevia and cinnamon
  • Lunch: strawberries and sauteed mushrooms and grape tomatoes with Himalayan salt, basil, and avocado
  • Snack: 1 stalk of celery with almond butter and grape tomatoes with basil and Himalayan salt
  • Dinner: Cucumber and tomato salad (recipe found in booklet)



I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed when I checked the scale three days later and I only lost one pound.  I suppose it's because I had just lost about as much as I'm going to and my calorie intake is relatively low already.  I did lose 2 inches off my waist and I was able to fit into a skirt I couldn't wear just the week before.  You can definitely see a difference in my side profile in my before and afters below.  My cravings diminished and I felt a sense of accomplishment really controlling my nutrition like that.
