My dad and his wife came to visit late Tuesday night and flew out early Friday morning so we had fun Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday we went to story time at the Balloon museum with Grandpa and then we all went out to eat that evening at Joe's Pasta House. I had heard good things about and it was pretty good. Thursday morning we went to Santa Fe and walked around the historic part of town and ate at the Plaza Cafe for lunch.
Wyatt had his four month appointment on Thursday afternoon. Grandma and Grandpa watched Quentin who was supposed to be napping, but of course didn't. Wyatt is doing great. He is a lot smaller than his brother was and is still wearing 0-3 month clothes. He only weighs 13 lbs 4 oz (13.6 percentile) and is 24.25" long (18.4 percentile), Quentin was in the 84th percentile at the same age.
Lots of people comment on how easy going Wyatt is. As long as he's fed he's usually pretty happy. He does like to be held a lot, but he will lay on his playmat for long periods of time. He loves playing with his feet and smiles all the time. He sleeps pretty well, except for when Albert and I went on a date Thursday night and he woke up while Grandma and Grandpa were watching him. I'm sure it was because of his shots. He doesn't do well with shots and we always have to give him some tylenol because he's crying in pain.
Speaking of our date, Albert and I went to Sonic and picked up a 1/2 price coconut pie shake and then snuck it into the theatre in my purse. We saw The Wolverine, which was pretty good. It was nice to get out and spend some alone time together.
On Friday we went to an open house/ baby shower for a couple in our ward (congregation) who just adopted a baby after six years of trying to adopt.
Quentin likes to say "no, never!" and "this is fun!" I have been making a concerted effort to be more patient and positive when it comes to Quentin's misbehavior and it's been working. He acts better when I'm nicer and more understanding. I have to keep reminding myself that he's only two.
