Name & blessing

On Easter we had Quentin's blessing.  The blessing itself was lovely and it was nice to have Albert be able to do it.  Poor guy worked so hard the day before moving almost all of our belongings to the condo and was plenty stressed out about the process.  It was also really nice to have our friends there along with my dad and his wife who are here from Wyoming for the week.

Like always, we decided to do everything at once and way overbooked ourselves. Luckily we have wonderful friends who came to the rescue.  We planned to have friends over to our new condo after the blessing, but it wasn't even close to being finished and was packed full of our belongings on Saturday with the help of some gentlemen from our church so there was no way we could do it there.

Our friends Laura and Blake offered to let us have our get together at their apartment and made a fruit platter.  Our friend Kim who is due to have her baby any day made three desserts and a veggie platter and our other friend Kim brought cookies.  We brought a ham, rolls, potato chips, and juice to round out the meal.  It turned out great and it was so nice to visit with our friends who stopped by.

I wish we would have taken pictures, but didn't think about it until everyone left so I only snapped one picture of my dad holding Quentin.  We did get the traditional family picture outside the church after the blessing.  Unfortunately Quentin had been sleeping so he had a "just woke up" face.

Someday we'll put Q back in his blessing outfit and get some nice photos of him in it.  Of course minutes before we were to leave he had a little accident in his white pants, but I was able to wash most of it out and you couldn't tell for the blessing itself.  After we got home we had round two of cleaning poop off of his white pants but this time it was much worse.  We soaked them and they look good again.  Next time we might not be so lucky.

For Quentin's announcement we used a Groupon from Vista Print.  They turned out pretty nicely and we were able to put an invitation to the blessing on the back.
