Yard Sale
On Saturday we joined a group of our friends and had a group yard sale. It would not have been possible except one of our friends has a yard to have it in so we were good to go. Albert put up the posters Krysta made and we advertised on listservs and Craig's List. The weather was better than I was expecting from the reports. It was supposed to be cold and windy all day but it warmed up a little in the afternoon.
People started coming before we were set-up and we had a steady flow of people even after we were packing up, none of which seemed the least bit interested in my old text books. Albert and I sold all the pants and a few of the shirts we brought and made out with $18. Not sure if the $18 was a worthy compensation for all the time we put into it, but it was fun hanging out with our friends and their cute babies.
Albert took over for the both of us, making deals with the customers, while I went to our friend Shaunel's baby shower. It was fun catching up with her since she and her hubby moved to the other part of town. I look forward to meeting the little guy once he makes his appearance in a month.
