Smithsonian Kite Festival

On Saturday, March 27 we headed down to the Washington Monument to check out the Kite Festival. Unlike last year, we didn't bring our kite, but we did see the huge kites the professionals were flying. It was quite the site seeing all those kites against the Washington Monument. It was also nice to see the cute families.

Thousands of people braved the cold and breezy weather. Growing-up in Wyoming, large crowds make me feel claustrophobic after a few hours, but Albert managed to get me out of there before I had a melt down.

Amen about the crowds. I have a very small tolerance for them -- and it seems to grow smaller with each encounter :)

Looks like you kiddles had a fun time!
