Recipe of the Week: Polenta with Sausage

I am a big fan of polenta so Polenta with Sausage was the first recipe I wanted to use when I received the Mama D's Homestyle Italian Cookbook. I found this recipe that is pretty close except Mama D added 1 lb or 2 (8-oz) cans of mushrooms and 2 small onions (I love mushrooms and onions so I recommened going with Mama D's additions). Instead of parsley the recipe I used asked for pepper and oregano.

I used ground Italian sausage which was really good and I grilled my polenta. After I made the polenta per the directions I spread it out in a cake pan and let it cool. I then cut it into rectangles and grilled it on our panini grill.


Both Albert and I really liked this recipe and I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Yum!
