Flying and Airports

On my way to and from home I stopped at the Narita International Airport outside of Tokyo. They had some interesting things to buy there. My work travel agent was able to get me gluten free meals for all of my flights. Some meals were better than others, but when you're on a 12 hour flight you'll eat pretty much anything.

I had a 5 hour layover in Bangkok on my way back, which is the best place for a long layover.  There are so many high end stores it looks like a mall and they even have a place where you can get massages $20 for 1 hour which I took advantage of.

During the flight I slept a few hours, read "The Lovely  Bones," and watched the following movies:
  • Whip It
  • Love Happens
  • Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
  • Amelia
  • The Informant!
  • Astro
  • Where the Wild Things Are
  • Zero Focus (Japanese, with English subtitles)

Ohh Alaska looks cool from above. Where's the snow? j/k Your trip sounds amazing. I'd love to visit Thailand one day. How was real Thai food?

And, I love your posts with recipes. My boyfriend and I made your polenta dish from a few weeks ago, it was great. Your picture made it so yummy that I couldn't wait to try it.

Glad your both doing well.

Hi Dani!

Thai food is great, but there was way too much sea food for me. I like fish and shrimp, etc. but not the way they cook it. The rice noodles and riced rice were great -- not too much different than what we get here.

I'm glad you like the recipes :D We love cooking together too. That's how Albert started cooking and now he does most of the cooking.

Hope you're well :D
