Bangkok, Thailand

I arrived in Bangkok at almost midnight on January 30, 2010 so I had a day to recover before the conference started. I didn't go far, mostly just slept all day.  The weather was in the 90s and humid...like DC in the summer.  So while Albert was getting snowed out I had a bit of summer.

Here's the city from a bus and my hotel window:

I went around the corner of the hotel I was staying at and took some pictures of the street vendors. They are VERY popular in Thailand and they say that the food is just as good as any fancy restaurant, if not better. I also heard that you shouldn't eat it unless you're used to it so I didn't bother. Besides we got TONS of food everyday at the conference.
