Making Bread on Labor Day

For our Labor Day celebrations Albert and I went to a friend's BBQ. I had to make sure I had a hamburger bun so I made a batch of Pamela's Gluten Free Bread Mix. Usually I just throw it in the bread maker, but this time I decided to make rolls, hamburger buns, and a small loaf of bread. I used a suggestion I read on a Celiac listserv and make a bun mold from tin foil. It worked like a charm. For the rolls I used a muffin pan.

{I'm now going to start looking for a mini loaf pan so my slices of bread aren't only an inch high.}

I used one of my hamburger buns and it worked great! It wasn't crumbly like the Trader Joe GF English Muffins and wasn't too thick (because gf bread is very dense it can overwhelm the toppings in any sandwich.)

After chilling with friends, we spent the rest of the evening working on Albert's essay and watching a movie we got for free with our monthly RedBox coupon code.
