I won! I won!

Out of all the blogs that I check on a regular basis that have give-aways I actually won one from Gluten-Free Homemaker! I won a box of Can DO Kid energy bars that are gluten-free. It took awhile to get here, but I was excited when they did. I got a box with a mix of all three flavors and a cute kids' book, "I Can Do Anything!" We're debating whether we should give it away or save it for our future children.

Yesterday I tried out the chocolate crunch bar (they are 170 cal and score an "A" on the nutritional grade) and it was pretty good. Tasted like a regular energy bar. It's nice to have a bar to eat on the go since the majority of granola bars are not gluten-free. I've found another bar that is gf, but it's super sweet and doesn't score as high on the nutrition grade.

In the future I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy special energy bars since most bars are gluten-free anyway (not sure if they are certifiably gf like these are though). These ones are made with kids in mind as far as nutrition goes so I might get them once I'm a mom since kids tend to be picky eaters and they need the nutrients. It's a good idea.

It was nice of the owner to throw in the book and I'm definitely going to be taking some of these on our trip to Florida for Thanksgiving.
