Kayaking on the Potmac

On Friday evening we went kayaking with our friends Kim&Joe and Laura&Blake at Jack's Boathouse.

The sun was setting and the light on the water was beautiful.

We saw a deer on the shore and were able to get super close. It must have been really domesticated because I've never been that close to a live deer before.

Since Albert was in charge of taking pictures there are a ton of the back of my head.

After kayaking we made our way down to Buzz in Alexandria where we enjoyed dessert. It's a pretty cool place to hang out. Albert got a very yummy looking turtle cheesecake and I opted for the honey panna cotta. Our friends pointed out the gluten free brownie so I got that one to eat on Saturday. The brownie was good, but it could have been a little more chocolaty. Nice of them to think of us.

While we ate we played Apples to Apples that we were able to borrow from Buzz. Good times :D
