This Saturday I went out to lunch at the Lebanese Taverna with my friend Sara. I was pleased to find out that they are introducing their new gluten-free menu today and since they already had it put together they were very helpful in explaining everything to me. They didn't have a ton of options on the lunch menu, mostly salads, but they were more than willing to substitute items that I preferred.
The platter I ordered had hummus and since I can't eat pita I was wondering if I should just eat with a spoon or what. Luckily the waiter seemed to sense my problem and offered to bring me a plate of sliced cucumbers which worked out really well. It's nice to be able to go out to eat without a lot of stress.
