General Conference Weekend

This weekend we watched the LDS General Conference all Friday and Saturday. It was great to relax and cuddle while being inspired by our leaders. My favorite talks were from President Dieter F. Uchtdorf about hope and Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talk about angels. I loved it when Elder Holland said that even Jesus Christ, a God, had angels to support him in his time of need. It's beautiful to think of guardian angles helping us through this mortal existence.

On Saturday morning the President of the church made an announcement that I've been waiting to hear since 2002...they are going to build a temple in Rome, Italy! I'm sooo excited! They've been talking about building a temple for years now. They bought land in Rome a while back and rumor had it that they were just waiting for Rome to have a stake, which they created in May 2005 -- I was lucky enough to be in Italy with some of my old mission companions when Elder Nelson created the stake there...it was incredible! I'm so happy that Italy will finally be blessed with a temple of our Lord :D When they made the announcement Albert said that we will finally have a reason to to go to Italy -- as though you need a reason to go to Italy! I can't wait to find out what it will look like and when it will be finished. It would be amazing to go to the open house and dedication. You can see pictures of the land where it will be built here.

Albert made a German pancake for the first time on Saturday morning. It was so beautiful that we took a picture of it coming out of the oven. Yummy! When I have made it in the past it never turned out this good.

While Albert was making breakfast I was sitting on the couch watching conference. He thought it was "cute" and took this picture. It was so cold in our apartment. We're in the basement with no direct sunlight and they haven't turned on the heat yet so we have to wear lots of clothes.
