Recipe of the Week: Chili

Albert makes this chili often and we love it. He made it for our church chili potluck and it disappeared before long before we made it to the front of the line. It's healthy, low calorie, and hearty. Albert adds all the ingredients and simmers for 1 hour. Sometimes he uses the crock pot, which takes a few hours.

There are under 300 calories per serving (serves 6) and it gets an A nutritional grade :D It's so hearty too. It gets a 4 out of 5 stars in my book.

Here are the ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • 1 lbs 96% lean ground beef
  • 14 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 17 oz diced tomatoes
  • 155 gram green pepper
  • 1 can kidney Beans
  • 1/2 cup skim Milk
