Temple Christmas Lights

On Tuesday, December 29 we took a long needed trip up to the DC LDS Temple. We were able to serve inside first and then we went over to the very busy visitor's center to see the beautiful lights they put up every Christmas. Albert braved the cold and took these pictures of the lights and outdoor nativity while I checked out the inside.

Inside was an exhibit of nativities from all over the world. These are just a few:

In the lobby there were several beautiful Christmas trees decorated with dolls from international embassies. While looking at the nativities I ran into an Italian sister missionary so I took the opportunity to try and speak Italian. It had been so long since I had spoken to an actual Italian...it was great!

It was nice to prolong the Christmas spirit by focusing on Christ. Afterwards we were starving so we went to UNO's in Bethesda. It was good and the people were nice, but totally unresponsive. It took a really long time to get our food and to pay our check so we didn't get home until after 11:30 PM.
